Corrina Holyoake spent the first 11 years of her life bought up in Africa where she holds many a fond memory. She then moved to the UK where she still resides. Her work is colourful, decorative and whimsical. Many of her older pieces are heavily
influenced by aboriginal painting, a style she picked up on whilst travelling around Australia. She is very fond of this style and has even started to incorporate this technique into her illustrations She has a great love for colour, pattern, symmetry and vibrancy. A big kid at heart you will find that many of her illustrations are humorous and tend to have the cute factor. Her aim is to put a smile on peoples faces, and give all of her pieces, whether it is an illustration or a large painting, a happy vibe. She also has a love for the darker arts and the surrealist movement but has not experimented much in this area. Anything that stops you in your tracks and gets you thinking gets her vote.
